Tyrell first performed together with Bruce Springsteen in 1992 on his Lucky Town album, as an accompanying singer. She has since appeared on each Springsteen album of studio new material from that point on, mostly as the violinist and backing vocalist and vocalist, which included those album The Ghost of Tom Joad and Devils & Dust, which weren’t E Street Band albums, making her the only musician who has appeared in more Springsteen albums over the past twenty years than musicians in the E Street Band, with the exception of Patti Scialfa and Springsteen himself.
